Sundays River Valley Addo

This region covers the area from Addo in the south to Kirkwood, home of the annual Kirkwood Festival, further north.  This magnificent valley of citrus trees is in full bloom in October and bears fruit all winter.  The Fitzpatrick- and Kirkwood Look Out Points are strategically located offering magnificent views across the valley.

The world-renowned Addo Elephant National Park proudly conserves the Big 7 in their natural environment within its borders :  the reserve stretches from the rugged plains of the Karoo to the untamed coastline and incorporate the Whale and Shark to Africa’s Big 5 experience.  The Park offers a range of game-viewing options, from self-drive to guided tours on safari vehicles or horseback.

4x4 Trails are offered in the Zuurberg Mountains whilst on the Sundays River, fishing, canoeing, bird-watching, hiking and boating are leisurely activities to appreciate.  On the ‘unique’ side, tame cheetah, ostriches, crocodiles and lions are attractions.   This region offers something for everyone.
