Boutique Vintage Forest Cabin

Our vintage forest cabin is perched above our pristine mountain stream set amidst a highly diverse indigenous botanical forest wetland. The cabin is entirely private with a large deck and extensive views of both of our mountain peaks.

Hand built by the owner over a period of two years, with hardwood floors throughout, hand waxed with beeswax polish from our own hives on the property. All wooden touch surfaces made of our own properties oak timber finished with 100% natural Tung oil.
Guests enjoy their own private access along with their secluded forest path, numerous fruit trees abound with pears, apples, granadillas, figs, kumquat and bananas. The garden is entirely organic planted with raspberries, asparagus and lots of lettuce and a variety of salads leaves.
The inbuilt deck BBQ includes a smoker, a variety of seasoned woods, from Blackwood, oak, plum and red gum are available, keeping any would-be mountain man busy for the evenings fare.
Inside a vintage Nestor Martin canon, style wood stove provides ample warmth on the chilly nights of the year and for those brave guests to cook atop. Guests are welcome to prepare salads and snacks from the garden's produce and also collect seed and take seedlings to increase their own properties diversity.
Our own delicious honey is available to our guests and family only. Tree Fuchsia, Wachendorfia and Arum lily blossom pollen are the major constituents of our very special honey.
Composting toilets and a deep cast iron bath surrounded by hardwood all contribute to the entire environmental sensitivity that is our ethos.
