When traveling eastwards along  Route 72 from Port Elizabeth through the small village of Alexandria, you won’t miss the impressive looking building of Heritage Guest House.  It is the ideal venue for family holidays where one can experience something different each day.  It is close to the coastal seaside villages of Cannon Rocks, Boknes, Bushmans and Kenton-on-Sea, near  Game Reserves where daily game drives are offered, Addo Elephant National Park and within a short ride of entrances to hiking trails.

Cyling enthusiasts can challenge their fitness by tackling country roads leading down to the beaches where kite surfers enjoy the waves and the mild ocean temperatures

A number of good restaurants  can be found off the Route 72 between Alexandria and Port Alfred so finding  pleasant surroundings at which to enjoy your meals, is easy.

Originally known as Alexandria Hotel , this guesthouse began serving travellers way back in March 1852  and has been doing so continuously since then. In 1987  the Hotel was bought by owners /managers Peter and Kathleen Gordon who  steadily upgraded it into the 3 star establishment of today.  Heritage Guest house offers a variety of affordable accommodation and an apartment which is ideal for families

The main building houses  nine units of doubles and Twins en suite and Twins and singles with private bathrooms. A large apartment with its own entrances offers ideal accommodation for families to enjoy all the attractions offered and opportunity to use the large, tree lined garden and enjoy the use of the braai facilities

Known for their delicious country-style breakfasts, the guest house is licensed and from Monday to Friday, lunches and dinners can be had by prior arrangement
