WELCOME TO YOUR HOME-FROM-HOME

At River Roost, we try to give our guests a home from home experience. We eat meals with our guests and offer dinners on request. We are situated on the Bushman’s river (direct access) and in a large (two hectares) garden. There are lots of places to sit, relax, read and enjoy the bird life.

We are close to game reserves, miles of unspoilt beaches and are in the middle of an area immersed in history. There is just so much to see and do.

SELF CATERING

Five minutes from the Kenton-on-Sea beaches our self-catering cottage is nestled among cycads that are centuries old with abundant bird-life. Right on the Bushman's River it offers the most magnificent views of the river and the sea beyond. 

BED & BREAKFAST

Our bed & breakfast accommodation is offered in the French Provencal style main house, complete with farmhouse kitchen, reading room and cascading waterfall into the rock swimming pool.

THE SUNSHINE COAST, EASTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA

The beautiful Eastern Cape beaches on the Sunshine Coast are only 3kms down the road from River Roost. Fishing and crab-catching can be experienced on the Bushman's River from our private jetty and Big 5 african game viewing safaris are within close proximity. For the more adventurous there is excellent surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing within minutes.
